Greetings, good reader. A.S. here.

There’s probably nothing more gratifying to a beginning writer than seeing his or her name in print, and I’m no different.

So, just putting together this quick little reminder that my short story entitled Zulu 1 is now available for your reading enjoyment in the May 2012 issue of Hungur Magazine from Sam’s Dot Publishing.

Check out the new story in Hungur Magazine by @horrorwriter74 - "Zulu 1".

Here’s the quick and dirty on Zulu 1: In Zulu 1, a group of American soldiers from the Tenth Mountain Division enters a cave in a remote part of Afghanistan just after the fall of Mazar-i-Sharif in 2003. The soldiers’ mission is to disrupt the flow of weapons to Taliban fighters, but what they discover in the bowels of the cave is far older and deadlier than anything they could imagine.

Zulu 1 is the third story I’ve had published. Just in case you missed them, Ghosts of Annapurna was published in the fall of 2010 by Ghostlight Magazine, and, late last summer, Ronnie Van Zant Really Does Walk on Water appeared in Sex and Murder Magazine. If you have a moment to take the time and read them, please let me know your thoughts here on the blog.

And now, back to work on that new novel…

Yours,

A.S.
