“Bull’s Head Creek” to be Published in Spring 2013 Issue of Hungur Magazine August 4, 2012

It’s my great pleasure, good reader, to announce that Hungur Magazine intends to publish my story entitled Bull’s Head Creek in its spring 2013 issue.

Hungur Magazine, which is produced by Sam’s Dot Publishing, also just recently published my short story Zulu 1 in its May 2012 issue. I am extremely grateful and gratified at their enthusiasm for my work, and look forward to continuing to work with the editors there.

As for Bull’s Head Creek, here’s the basic 411 (the jacket cover version) – Danny Bellamonte is a gay high school student from New York City who is forced to move to rural and ardently Christian Bull’s Head, Oklahoma when his mother is left near destitute after a bitter divorce. There, he suffers daily at the hands of his classmates over his sexuality until a chance night-time encounter with a strange river creature triggers a startling metamorphosis in him. Soon, Danny begins to undergo frightening physical changes that both help him exact revenge on his tormentors and threaten to drive a wedge between him and his mother.

I hope you’ll read the story when it comes out next year. I, for one, can’t wait to see it in print, and I will be sure to blog about it as soon as the story is available.
