Great news! The fine editors at Charon Coin Press have deemed my short story Blue Belly Bayou worthy of inclusion in their State of Horror: Louisiana Volume II anthology. I’m honored to be included in the company of so many very fine writers.

Blue Belly Bayou is the story of a ghost hunting duo that descends upon the remote and rural bayou town of Jubilee, Louisiana in search of the ghosts of an entire regiment of Union cavalrymen that were murdered at the hands of their Confederate captors in the waning days of the Civil War. Once night falls, the duo gets more than they bargained for and soon find themselves fighting for their very survival.

I’d like to thank the editors at Charon Coin Press, especially Jerry Benns, for taking the time to read Blue Belly Bayou and including it in their anthology. They have been a joy to work with, and I really appreciate their passion for my favorite genre.

You can obtain a copy of State of Horror: Louisiana Volume II in a variety of eBook formats as well as the traditional print format. I’ve already ordered my copy!

Also, be sure to tune in to the State of Horror: Louisiana Twitter party from 8 p.m. ET – 10 p.m. ET for a chance to ask me and several of the writers included in the anthology questions! I can’t wait to hear what you think of Blue Belly Bayou and, of course, the many other fantastic horror stories included in the anthology.

Yours,

A.S.
